Preparation
Prepare the room/space so that it is as spacious as it can be, without obstacles.
Step by step description
1. Ask participants to form a circle. The facilitator is not included in the circle.
2. Ask participants to hold hands with the person to the left and right of them and close their eyes.
3. Touch smoothly the shoulder of a participant in the circle.
4. The person who felt the facilitator’s touch must begin with “shockwave” – moving both their arms up and down in a wave-like motion, thus sending it to whoever’s on their left and right-hand side. Those participants then continue the wave, taking the “shock” in one arm and replicating it in the other.
5. The waving continues around the entire circle until someone on the opposite side feels the movement in both arms simultaneously. At that point, that person yells “KABOOM”, and everyone can open their eyes.
6. Repeat the activity several times.
Closing up
The activity can be concluded in a circle with participants answering the question and describing in one word that comes to mind at that moment:
● What is your mood?
