Preparation
Prepare the room/space so that it is as spacious as it can be, without obstacles.
Step by step description
1. Ask the participants to create 2 groups.
2. Each of the groups have to prepare a scene on a public transport, such as Bus, Tram, Metro … The rules, they have to take into account, are:
– At least one passenger has to go out.
– At least one passenger has to go on.
– 2 passengers know each other from before.
– Communication with a driver has to be included.
– They have to create a conflict.
– They have to resolve a conflict.
3. Groups have 30 minutes to prepare a scene.
4. Within the 30 minutes, they should also rehearse the scene they have prepared.
5. After 30 minutes, the groups are asked to act the scene for everybody.
6. After both scenes are shown, the groups should act one more time, but this time repeat the scene of the other group with their own interpretation. The rule is that they have to find a new solution to the conflict that the previous group created. The group has 20 minutes to prepare.
7. Within these 20 minutes, the group should also rehearse what they have prepared.
8. After 20 minutes, the groups are asked to act the scene for everybody.
Closing up
At the end, participants are asked to comment on the shown conflict and share additional ideas on how the conflict could be resolved.
