According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), active ageing refers to optimizing opportunities for health, participation and security in order to enhance quality of life as people age. In its policy framework proposal, WHO also highlights the importance of intergenerational programmes in order to foster a new age-integrated society where everyone is an active and crucial participant. The intergenerational approach is one of the basis of Creation POP methodology which, in combination with creative activities, aims at providing higher quality of life for older people and preventing situations of loneliness, stress and depression.
